Primitivism and Modern Art

This is the first exhibition curated by students currently enrolled in ART 402: Introduction to Modern Art that explores the development of primitivism (the use of non-Western visual forms in Western art) in modern art and its relationship to imperialism using works of art from the collection of the James E. Lewis Museum of Art.
